The following is an extract from our Church Constitution.
We believe:
That there is one sovereign God eternally existent in three co-equal Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
In the Deity of Jesus Christ, His Virgin Birth, His real and perfect manhood, His death for sinners as the only means of putting mankind right with God, His bodily Resurrection, His Ascension to the Father, His present Intercession for His people, His Personal Return in power and glory to judge the living and the dead.
In the work of the Holy Spirit being essential to bring sinners to faith in Christ and change them to His likeness; His Gifts and enabling for ministry, worship and Christian obedience.
The Bible to be the infallible Word of God with final authority in matters of faith, doctrine and practice
That all mankind falls short of God’s requirements but through repentance and faith in Christ as Lord and Saviour believers receive God’s forgiveness and love, the certainty of eternal life and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
In the Universal Church embracing all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, of which He is the Head
The priesthood of all believers.
Rosedale Community Church is a member of the Countess of Huntingdon's Connexion, and the New Connexions group of churches.
The Countess of Huntingdon's Connexion is an evangelical Christian denomination. We are a small group of 23 churches spread around the UK. We are members of the Evangelical Alliance and the Free Church Council.
New Connexions is a national network of small evangelical churches seeking to grow and multiply through effective communication of the gospel within local communities. It began in 2005, when the Wesleyan Reform Union and the Countess of Huntingdon's Connexion decided to form a spiritual alliance in order to support each other in our work for Christ.
We firmly believe that it is possible for small churches to grow and make a difference in the area in which they serve. By making “New Connexions” with other small churches in this network, we believe there will be real benefits for participating churches.
One bright flame may make a difference to an area of a large city, but many tiny flames burning faithfully in small towns and villages can make a difference to a nation!
